Schema Markup Generator

Fill a short form and get valid JSON-LD structured data for a local business, organization, FAQ page, product, article or breadcrumbs — the code Google reads to show rich results.

A free schema markup generator: fill a short form and get valid JSON-LD for a local business, organization, FAQ page, product, article or breadcrumb list — the structured data Google reads to understand a page, and for some types to show rich results such as a product's price and availability. Runs in your browser.

Without structured data, your business name, address and opening hours are just words Google has to work out for itself.

Fill in the form, copy the JSON-LD, paste it into the page.

shops, clinics, agencies, restaurants — anything with an address. Fill what you have — empty fields are left out.

JSON-LD · paste into <head>
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "LocalBusiness",
  "openingHours": "Mo-Fr 09:00-18:00"
}
</script>

Check it with Google’s Rich Results Test ↗ after adding it to the page.

The page you enter is fetched once by our server (public sites only), read, and discarded — nothing is stored, and your own files never come into it.

Left: your name, address, phone and opening hours written on the page as plain text, for Google to work out. Right: the same details as JSON-LD on the page they belong to, valid in Google's Rich Results Test, and saying the same thing as everywhere else the business is listed.

Good to know

Which type to pick

A shop, clinic or restaurant with a walk-in address is a LocalBusiness. The markup describes the business to Google. A company people do not visit is an Organization. FAQ, Product and Article go on the specific pages they describe, alongside the business schema on the homepage.

About the schema markup generator

Why structured data matters for local businesses

Google can guess that a page is about a dental clinic in Kolkata; schema tells it. LocalBusiness markup states the name, address, phone, hours and profile links in a form Google reads directly. The map-pack result itself is driven by your Google Business Profile, so keep the two saying the same thing. Since August 2023 Google shows FAQ rich results only for well-known government and health websites, so for a business FAQ markup helps Google understand the page rather than adding drop-downs. Product markup can still show price and availability.

The generator writes valid JSON-LD from a form so no one has to hand-type braces and quotes. Empty fields are left out, so a partial form still produces correct code.

FAQ

Schema Markup Generator — questions

What is schema markup?

A block of JSON in the page's <head> that states facts in a format search engines read directly: this is a business named X at address Y, open these hours; this page answers these questions. Google uses it for rich results and for understanding who you are.

Which type should a small business use?

LocalBusiness on the homepage if customers visit an address; Organization if they do not. Add FAQPage to pages with questions, Product to product pages, Article to blog posts and BreadcrumbList site-wide.

Where do I put the code?

Inside the page's <head>, as a <script type="application/ld+json"> block — the generator writes the whole script tag. On WordPress, most SEO plugins have a place to paste custom schema.

How do I know it works?

Paste the page URL into Google's Rich Results Test. It reads the block and lists any missing fields.
