Web developer in Haldia — plant suppliers and contractors

Your site is read by someone in a purchase department, who has to justify the choice to someone above them. When a plant supplier or contractor brings in a web developer in Haldia, that's the reader the work is for. So the site opens with the documents a shortlist is decided on, and design comes after.

Overview

Your certificates, set out as issued

On an industrial supplier website, I put each certificate up exactly as the issuing body wrote it. I don't reword a standard or round off a number. A buyer who checks a line against the original should find the two identical.

I'll lay out a safety record clearly, but vouching for it isn't my job. Nothing goes up as a claim unless you've given it to me in writing. When a figure changes, you tell me, and the site changes with it.

What moves the number

Where the cost of a supplier site comes from

One product line with a handful of certificates is a small job. Several lines, each with its own sheets, is a larger one. The method behind any figure is set out at how a quote is built.

  • Certificates and licences — how many get their own line
  • A specification sheet to download — where your buyers ask for one
  • Facility photographs — a phase-two line, if access can be arranged
  • Product or service lines — how many deserve a separate page
  • A shop, clinic or school side — a separate and much smaller job

What a scope from me looks like

What is agreed before the specifications go up?

An example first scope — an industrial supplier
v1
FIXED PRICE · PER PHASE

Included

  • A written scope: every page and feature as its own line, agreed before work starts
  • Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
  • Mobile first — checked on a real phone
  • Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
  • A capacity figure that matches your own paperwork
  • Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, Search Console connected
  • A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when

Phase two

  • A downloadable specification sheet library
  • Photographs of the facility, once access is arranged
  • Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
  • A maintenance plan once the site is live
  • Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
Named now, costed on request.

Not doing

  • Guaranteed rankings
  • Issuing or vouching for any certification — that responsibility sits with the certifying body alone
  • Bought links
  • A launch before your sign-off
Google sets the order of search results, and only the issuing body can stand behind a certificate. No link is paid for, and nothing is published until you've approved it.

Which certificates apply goes into the scope by name. Anything you do not hold stays off the site.

The scope also names who in your office sends me a new certificate when one is renewed, and who checks the site afterwards.

What gets built here

Where each document sits

Each document gets its own place, where a purchase department finds it without having to ask.

  • Certificates and licences — each one listed with its number and the body that issued it.
  • Capacity, stated as a figure — written the same way your own paperwork states it.
  • The safety record — set out plainly, in the terms your buyers already use.
  • Someone to ask, by name — a direct email address that reaches the person who can answer.

FAQ

Before a supplier site is scoped

Answered plainly, one at a time.

Does each product line need a page of its own?

A product line needs a page of its own when it has its own certificates and sheets. Lines that share them can sit on one page. The scope lists each line by name, with its documents under it, so you'll see the split before anything's built.

Is a shop or clinic site the same kind of job?

A shop, a clinic or a school is a far smaller job than a plant supplier's site. It's a few clear pages that say where you are and what you offer. There are no certificate sections, and it's scoped on its own.

Do you check whether a certificate is valid?

Checking validity is the issuing body's job, and I don't take it on. Each certificate appears with its number and issuer next to it, copied from the original, so a buyer can confirm it with that body directly.

Is a photo of the plant needed at the start?

Facility photographs can wait for phase two, once access is arranged. Nothing else on the site depends on them, so the rest of the build goes ahead without them.

Who updates the site when a certificate is renewed?

Someone in your own office can update the site. The runbook at handover shows how to replace a certificate or change a capacity figure, and I'll do it for you if you'd rather send it over.

What happens when a certificate lapses?

A lapsed certificate comes off the site once your office tells me, or you take it down yourself. Leaving it up would show a buyer something you don't hold any more.

Next step

A first look at your paperwork

A plain list of your certificates and licences is enough to start. We go through it together on a call, and the scope is drafted from it.
