Web developer in Chinsurah — answering ‘are you real’ before it's asked

I build websites for offices and practices, and as a web developer in Chinsurah I put proof a new client can check on the first screen. The town is the district headquarters, and much of its work runs through offices like yours. A client checks who you are before ringing, and the site lets them do it without your help.

Overview

Proof, in the order a client wants it

A new client judges an office on what it can prove, and makes up their mind quickly. The site leaves out words like ‘trusted’ and puts checkable facts in their place.

If you can gather only one thing before we start, make it your registration numbers. The office can be photographed later, but a number has to come from your own papers, copied exactly as it's printed.

A practice with one service and a couple of registrations needs only a few pages. A firm with several departments gets a page for each, built the same way.

What moves the number

How the build is priced

Each registration and document you want shown adds a line to the scope. Fewer lines make a smaller build. A sole practitioner with one registration sits at the small end, and a firm with partners, departments and a document library sits at the other.

  • 01How many registrations, licences or memberships need a line each
  • 02Whether certificates sit on the page as downloads
  • 03Photographs of the office, if the address helps your case
  • 04How many services or departments need a page each
  • 05A short profile for each person who agrees to be named
  • 06A second language, if your clients would read one

What gets built here

Facts a careful client can check

Someone who has never met you can check each of these.

  • A street address someone can find, with a number, not just a locality name.
  • Registration or licence numbers, where you hold them, written out in full.
  • The names of the people behind the practice, not only the firm's name.
  • A dated record of past work, even a short one, described plainly. Say what the job was and when, and leave the praise to the client.
  • An office landline beside the mobile, if the practice has one.

What a scope from me looks like

Only what you can show

An example first scope — a professional office
v1
FIXED PRICE · PER PHASE

  • Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
  • Mobile first — checked on a real phone
  • Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
  • Registrations and credentials stated plainly, exactly as supplied
  • Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, Search Console connected
  • A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when

Phase two

  • A downloadable certificate or document library
  • A second language, if enquiries genuinely call for one
  • Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
  • A maintenance plan once the site is live
  • Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
Named now, and priced once the first version is live with its numbers checked.

Not doing

  • Guaranteed rankings
  • Verifying or issuing any registration or licence — that stays with the body that issues it
The site shows what you hold. Whether it's valid is for the issuing body to confirm.

If a registration is still pending, it stays off the page until the number is issued. The site states what you hold and nothing beyond it.

Where this comes from

The developer behind it

I'm Sandipan Das, full-stack web developer, based in Kolkata, India, and I've been building since 2017. Open the builds I've finished, or read what clients wrote about them. The builds are live sites, so you can click through them the way a client of yours would.

FAQ

Registrations, records, fees and design

Nothing you tell me goes on the site without your sign-off.

Should the site list every registration we hold, even old ones?

List the current ones in full. An expired registration can sit in a dated history line if it matters to your record, marked clearly as past, so a client does not read it as active.

We can't name our clients. Can the site still show a record?

Yes. The record can describe the kind of work and when it was done without a client's name, and any client who agrees can be named.

Should our fees go on the site?

That is your decision. A fixed fee for routine work can be listed plainly, and anything that depends on the case can say how to ask for a quote instead.

How much does the design matter for this kind of business?

Less than the facts do. A clumsy layout still undercuts genuine credentials, though, so I keep the design plain and tidy and spend the effort on getting the facts right.

Who writes the text?

The first draft comes from the call and from your papers. You correct anything on the staging link before it goes live, numbers included.

Our office moved recently. What happens to the old address online?

The new address goes on every page of the site, and we go through the listings that still show the old one, so a client doesn't turn up at the wrong door.

Next step

Two things to have ready

The name the practice trades under, and the services you offer. Certificates can come later, once we know which ones the site will show.
