Web developer in Naihati whose sites give directions by landmark
I'm a web developer in Naihati, building plain sites for workshops and shops. Each one says what you make or sell and who to call. Small manufacturing carries on here from the older industrial belt, and a workshop's site starts with the thing it makes.
Overview
Where one town stops and the next begins
Naihati sits in a continuous built-up strip, and someone driving through often cannot tell where one town ends and the next begins.
Customers come from the neighbouring towns as much as from Naihati itself. Someone driving in from next door will not know your pin code, but they will know a landmark near you.
So I write the directions the way you'd give them to someone on the phone, starting from that landmark and then each turn after it.

What a workshop page puts first
A buyer looking at a workshop wants two things settled before ringing. Both fit on the first screen.
- 01
What you make
the products in your own trade's words, with a photograph of real stock. - 02
Who takes the order
a name and a number, so the call reaches the right person.
What a scope from me looks like
What version one covers
Included
- A written scope: every page and feature as its own line, agreed before work starts
- Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
- Mobile first — checked on a real phone
- Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one
- Directions to your door, written from a landmark you choose
- Basic on-page SEO: titles, descriptions, headings, sitemap, Search Console connected
- A runbook at handover: how to edit it, what renews and when
Phase two
- A product list with enquiry
- A page for each product range
- Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
- A maintenance plan once the site is live
- Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
Not doing
- Guaranteed rankings
- Correcting your address with the postal service
What gets built here
Before a visitor sets out
I make sure these sit on the first screen, above anything else.
- Your opening hours, including the day you close, so nobody arrives to a shut gate.
- The neighbouring towns your customers come from, mentioned where they fit, so a search from next door still turns you up.
- A photograph of the gate or the shopfront, so a visitor knows they've arrived.
- A WhatsApp button, for the visitor who'd rather message than ring.
What moves the number
What the figure rests on
These are the questions I ask before a figure goes on paper. Your answer to each one stays in the scope, so you can see what moved the number.
- How many products or ranges need a page
- Whether buyers should send an enquiry from the site
- Who photographs the premises and the products
- Whether you already have product descriptions written down
- How many units or shopfronts the site has to cover
- Whether you'll keep the site up to date yourself after launch
Where this comes from
Since 2017
I have been building since 2017, and the count stands at 900+ projects completed. The finished sites on the projects page are shown with each client's permission.

FAQ
Points to clear up first
Short answers to what a workshop owner might ask.
Can the site include a map?
- A map pin can sit on the contact page, pointing at your gate. On a phone, a visitor can open it straight into their own maps app and follow it from there.
We supply buyers outside Naihati. What changes for us?
- A buyer placing an order looks for what you make and a named contact. For a workshop that supplies buyers outside Naihati, those two go near the top of the site. Photographs of real stock let them judge the work before they ring.
Can a family business with two units use one site?
- A family business with two units can use one site, with a page for each unit and its own address. Each unit then turns up in a search for its own part of town.
What if we move to a new unit?
- If you move to a new unit, you change the address in the editor and then update any outside listings to match. The runbook at handover shows every place the address appears.
How does a phone order start from the site?
- A caller who looks you up first lands on the right number, with the name of whoever takes orders beside it. It's also where a new buyer checks that you're a real workshop before ringing.
Can the shop side show what's in stock?
- A shop site can show what's in stock by listing the things you usually carry, which is enough for a first version. A full product list with enquiry sits in phase two, for when you want it.

Something you make or sell
Send me a photograph of something you make or sell. We talk it through on the call, starting with what it is called in your trade and who usually buys it.
