Web developer in Baruipur — built for a trader, not a shopper
The buyer reading a grower's site wants to know what you have and how much of it. That's what I put at the top, ahead of any photograph, with a name and a phone number beside it. Growers and traders who need a web developer in Baruipur get each page in a scope they check line by line before anything is built.
Overview
Who reads a produce site?
Baruipur sends produce and goods up to the city's markets, so the person reading your site is a trader buying to sell again.
I'd keep a trade site small, a few pages you can keep current yourself. A grower who already sells by phone doesn't need more than that, and a small site is easier to correct.
The build happens in Kolkata, India, with each page put on a staging link for you to look over before it's live.

What gets built here
Grade, quantity, timing and a phone that's answered
A buyer reading on a mobile needs these without scrolling. I set each product out the same way, so the figures sit in the same place on every page and are quick to check on a small screen.
- 01Grade and quantity, written as figures — a buyer compares numbers, so each description gives way to the number behind it.
- 02Timing — when each product is ready, written plainly and changed when it changes.
- 03A number that gets picked up — with a name beside it, so a buyer knows who will answer.
Where this comes from
The running count, and the team
Every build since 2017 is on my tally of 900+ projects completed, and a selection is on /project. Support is the whole team, not one person — reach us any time, and someone picks it up.
I lead every project myself, as part of a team of three developers, a designer and three SEO specialists in the Kolkata, India office, plus around six people working remotely.
What a scope from me looks like
What gets settled before a buyer sees the site?
The produce list comes first, because every other line in the scope depends on it. What you grow, and when it's ready, only you can tell me.
I write the scope from that list, and you check every line of it before any design starts.
A buyer-only order sheet is listed in phase two from the start, so it's planned before anybody builds it.

- Design to build, reviewed on a staging URL that stays open the whole project
- Mobile first — checked on a real phone
- Domain, hosting and every account created in your name from day one

Phase two

- Ongoing SEO once the site has traffic to read
- A maintenance plan once the site is live
- Logo and brand design, quoted separately from the build
Not doing
- Guaranteed rankings
- Buying, selling or brokering produce for you — the site points buyers to you
What moves the number
What makes a trade site a bigger job?
A shared product list is a smaller job than a page for every product, so the scope can start with the list.
- 01Products or gradesone shared list, or a page for each
- 02How buyers get in touchan enquiry form, or a buyer-only order sheet
- 03Photographs of the produce or goodstaken by you, or arranged as part of the scope
- 04Keeping availability currentdone by you, or on a maintenance plan

FAQ
Buyers, stock and phone calls
From a buyer's first look to the phone ringing.
Is a site for the town's residential side a different job?
- A site for Baruipur's residential side is a separate, smaller job. The town's also growing as a place to live, and a business selling to the people moving in gets its own short scope, kept apart from any trade site you run.
Can the site show what's available right now?
- The site can show what you have available, as long as someone updates it. You can do that yourself from the site's editor, or the updates can sit on a maintenance plan with my team.
Who answers when a buyer calls?
- Calls from buyers go to whoever takes your orders, and the site names that person beside a number that reaches them. If that changes, the name and number are edited in one place.
Are photographs of the produce needed?
- Photographs of the produce aren't needed at the start. They can be taken by you or arranged as a line in the scope, and they're added once they exist.
What if grades change from one batch to the next?
- Grades are written as they stand for the current batch, and changed when the next one differs. You can make that change yourself, without a developer.
Can a buyer in the city find the site by searching?
- Basic on-page SEO is in every build, so each page is set up to be found once it's live. Ongoing SEO comes later, once the site has traffic to read.
